The segment

Space: the backbone of European sovereignty and innovation.

In the Space Pavilion, ILA brings together European spaceflight: agencies, industry and new-space pioneers show how space access transforms the economy, security and daily life. Federal Minister Dorothee Bär served as patron of the 2026 space activities.

  • Space Pavilion: the central stage with moon model, Space Hub and exhibition in the space hall.
  • Space Days and Astronauts Day: dedicated theme days on 11 and 12 June 2026.
  • Segment motto: Space for Future.
A dense audience watches and records a Space4Future panel on the ILA STAGE Space in front of a large lunar backdrop. Several guests sit on stage, including two people in blue suits, while the screen shows a person inside a space-station setting beside the esa logo.
