Falco Family of Unmanned Systems
Falco is a family of RPAS specifically designed to offer a flexible, customised, ISTAR asset, easy to deploy, transport and maintain. It includes two platforms:
- Falco Evo, for Heavy Tactical ISTAR missions
- Falco Xplorer for Strategic ISTAR missions
For customers that choose not to own and operate an unmanned ISTAR system, Leonardo offers a Turnkey Falco Service, where Leonardo handles all aspects of operation, flying the RPAS directly and providing the customer with the actionable intelligence they require.
The Mirach 40 is a reusable state-of the art multi-threat Aerial Target System designed to qualify and test the most advanced weapon systems. Flexible mission profile, safe –automatic not autonomous- and effective thanks to its sea-skimming capabilities and speed, ITAR and Pyro free.
From advanced electronic components to fixed, rotary-wing and tilt rotor platforms, to fully integrated training and simulation systems
AW169 & AW189
Helicopters are a critical law enforcement and security tool. Leonardo’s Helicopters Division products, conforming to the latest regulatory and design standards, and the most common law enforcement requirements, are ideal for missions including surveillance/patrol, counterterrorism, border patrol, drug enforcement, aerial support, SAR and fire-fighting. The Division has nearly 70 years’ heritage in delivering customised helicopters to public services operators.
the AW189: Latest generation capabilities
The AW189, part of our AWFamily, is a fast and flexible, modern platform ideally suited to the demanding requirements of law enforcement operators.
Class-leading speed and range allow rapid intervention and are combined with the necessary endurance for effective patrol/surveillance missions, even in icing conditions. The new variant, the AW189K, further extends the helicopter’s range of operations to include hot and high conditions.
An advanced avionics suite with fully integrated digital glass cockpit delivers superior situational awareness and minimises pilot workload, increasing safety on challenging missions.
The AW189 also features a readily reconfigurable cabin, the largest in its class, with sliding doors to easily allow the carriage, fast roping/rappelling and rapid ingress/egress of personnel.
the AW169M: NEXT GENERATION MULTIROLE
Class-leading performance defines the light intermediate twin-engine AW169M. The military variant of our successful AW169, it meets both military and civilian certification requirements.
With outstanding power, agility and manoeuvrability, the AW169M’s excellent handling qualities allow operations in a wide variety of conditions, even “hot and high”.
Easily configurable in a variety of layouts, the aircraft can be customised with a large range of equipment, sensor and weapon systems to provide exceptional mission flexibility, while state-of-the-art avionics deliver superior tactical and situational awareness.
The AW169M is suited to a wide range of roles, including utility, troop transport, logistics support, surveillance and reconnaissance, special forces operations, command and control, MEDEVAC and casualty evacuation, SAR and personnel recovery.
the AW139: SIMPLY NO RIVALS
Our class-leading intermediate helicopter, the AW139, now offers operators greater capabilities than ever thanks to a new avionics software release and kit certification.
The Honeywell Primus Epic 2.0 Phase 8 software and EGPWS with offshore modes obtained EASA certification in June. This latest standard provides improved situational awareness and reduces workload during testing operations at night or in marginal weather.
Delivering greater mission capability and safety for all commercial and government missions, thanks to synthetic vision, advanced navigation and advanced collision avoidance, the Phase 8 update also has wireless connectivity embedded, providing high-speed flight plan transfer.
The AW139 is unmatched in its class, with a proven track record of outstanding mission performance in even the harshest conditions.
