Distributed electric propulsion for future aircraft?
The concept study represents a regional aircraft with distributed electric propulsion at the leading edges of the wings, which can improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption. Together with Airbus and Rolls-Royce, DLR is investigating the effects of distributing the drive masses over the entire aircraft.
