ILA Berlin 2020

With short key notes, European Commission together with the Federal Government of Germany will open ILA Future Lab FORUM, the main stage of #AeroDays2020. European Commission will focus attention on the Green Deal and the objective of a climate-neutral aviation by 2050.

What options does aviation have to become climate-neutral and still meet the growing global demand for air transport services? Which path are aircraft manufacturers and operators taking? What role does politics and research play in this?

Aviation continues to be a growing global industry. The digitalization of products and services opens up opportunities to increase efficiency, to maintain very high safety levels and to enhance the competitiveness of companies with innovative solutions.

It's an age-old human dream to be able to fly like a bird. In the slightly more than 100 years of commercial aviation history, the technical innovations of electric flying have brought the desire for democratization of individual aviation mobility within reach for the first time. In our panel we will learn from pioneers and pacemakers of Urban Air Mobility how this new branch of aviation is currently doing and what still needs to be done to achieve a commercial breakthrough.

At the end of the trade visitor part of #AeroDays2020, we take a visionary look at the aviation of the future, out of the box so to speak. Will new technologies in combination with other business models disrupt air traffic? What influence does the offered cruising speed have on the ecological footprint, supply and demand? These and many other questions will be discussed on the basis of exemplary developments.
