ILA CareerCenter: The runway for careers in aviation


The ILA CareerCenter is the perfect networking platform to get in touch with you professionals. Exhibiting companies have the possibility to present their company portfolio as well as career and entry opportunities.
 
The ILA CareerCenter with its attractive event and service offers developed into one of the biggest aerospace job markets in recent years.
 
At the last edition of ILA Career Center, one of the largest job exchanges of the World dedicated to the aerospace industries, as many as 40 companies were presenting their professional training and education offers, career chances and job opportunities.
 

Open Forum


The “Open Forum” of the ILA Career Center 2016 was a huge success, with more than one thousand visitors attending the related events. All 14 lectures and stage discussions had a great acceptance – with the topic “Career paths into the Aerospace Industries – How to climb such high?” attracting the most attendees. One of the lecturers was Mr Bernhard Gerwert, President of BDLI.
 
Another highlight was the lecture of ESA astronaut Thomas Reiter. He was telling about the curiosities of life in Space. The lecture “Mission Rosetta”, held by Gunther Lautenschlager of Airbus Defence and Space GmbH and Dr Daniela Tirsch of DLR Institut of Planet Research, provided a unique insight into a thrilling chase after a comet. chance to get first-hand information from pilots, astronauts, CEOs and employees.

BDLI CareerWorkshop
 


Apart from the regular exhibit booths, BDLI, for the first time, presented its “Career Workshop”, supported by Airbus, German Bundeswehr, Liebherr, MTU, SII Deutschland / Cadcon, skyfuture.de and Stegmann Aircraft Maintanence. At the booth, professional trainers and trainees of these companies and institutions were providing detailed information on a large variety of professions in the aerospace industries.
 
Attractive exhibits like aircraft engines, landing gears or an airworthy airbus model enjoyed high popularity among the interested visitors. Also, interesting “do-it-yourself” offers attracted the attention for flying of the youngest, thus making a profitable investment into the future.
